Malakai Watkins (they/them) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced training in sex therapy supervised by Courtney Watson (98943). Recognizing talk therapy alone will not encompass the full spectrum of healing, they integrate nature, art, and spirituality with both sex therapy and drama therapy techniques housed within the frameworks of liberation psychology and disability justice. Their ideal client is someone navigating challenges with identity, relationships/connection to others, pleasure, or the impact of systemic oppression. Malakai works with LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, chronically ill, and disabled individuals, as well as those in non-monogamous dynamics and the sex work community. Whether you’re exploring intimacy, healing from trauma, or seeking a space where all parts of you are welcomed; they offer a collaborative, affirming, and justice-centered approach to therapy. Alexis Pauline Gumbs writes “Maybe it’s not so much about being recognized as who we are, it is about staying together, feeding each other, knowing where we are, and moving through.” From this guiding philosophy Malakai understands individual growth is part of the broader journey towards collective liberation. Allow me to be a part of your journey, let’s get free together.
