Isabel Hallock is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC 18438) supervised by Roz McMillan (LCSW 85799).

Malcolm X said, “The most disrespected person in America is the Black Woman.” Isabel honors this truth by providing therapy to Black women who are struggling to be seen, heard, and valued in their everyday life. She explores each clients story from before and during her sessions, and holds the healing space for the clients to help them heal themselves. She provides a safe and affirming space for Black women and TAY youth who have been traditionally taught that our depression and anxiety does not exist. Isabel builds the therapeutic alliance with those who want a soft place to land while they are fighting through life’s struggles, taking into consideration racism, capitalism, and all other isms and factors hindering the day to day life of her clients. With a specificness on working with Black Women and Girls with depression and anxiety, she creates the space for vulnerability and autonomy that Black Women don’t always have access to on the outside. She meets clients where they are at and focuses on the clients time before, during, and after therapy.
